-          Project management responsibility for real estate acquisition projects and real estate consultation to various CSXT internal business units

-          Negotiated contracts of varying complexity for the acquisition of real estate

-          Provided direction and oversight of 3^rd party consultants delivering acquisition services to deliver timely acquisition contracts for various railroad development projects

-          Negotiated and managed various consulting contracts, including feasibility studies, engineering and construction agreements to deliver data for making transactional decisions

-          Supported engineering and construction efforts with right-of-way acquisitions, temporary construction / access easements and power line easements for numerous capacity projects

Kimball Hill Homes – Houston, Texas – October, 2000 to August, 2002

 

-          Managed the complete land development process through land acquisition, feasibility phases, and final substantial completion of each project for nearly 700 residential lots in the Houston Metro area

-          Managed all phases of construction contract administration, oversight of engineers and consultants, and invoice / budgeting for all projects

Urban Development / Summit Property Company – Tulsa, Oklahoma – April, 1994 to October, 2000

 

-          Duties included land acquisition, due diligence, land planning, entitlement, budget preparation, coordination and direction of consulting team and contractors for infrastructure installation, cost control, loan application and draw process, and the eventual marketing of seven (7) residential communities

-          Worked concurrently as construction manager for the development of an office park, two commercial sites, two mini-storage facilities, and several high-end custom homes

-          Duties included land acquisition, due diligence, land planning, entitlement, budget preparation, coordination and direction of consulting team and contractors for infrastructure installation, cost control, loan application and draw process, and the eventual marketing of ten (10) residential communities

-          Gained extensive experience in taking all aspects of residential development from start to finish by being very “hands on”

-          Excellent ground floor opportunity coming directly out of college

-          Worked concurrently as a petroleum engineer managing the drilling and completion of twenty-one (21) oil and gas wells in Northeast Oklahoma

-          Made the move to another developer locally when partnership made the decision to dissolve
